How Does The Refer a Friend Program Work?

If you share your unique link with SLPs and they join Start, you will receive a commission.

You now have a unique affiliate link to share with SLPs interested in private practice.

You affiliate link goes to the Webinar page for a few reasons:

  1. So they can learn more about private practice, Jena and the course before they purchase
  2. I collect email addresses so that even if they don’t buy right away, they may buy later AND you’ll still get credit as the one who referred them, even if they buy a year later!

If they purchase, you will get paid 15% of the sale of Start Your Private Practice. If they pay in full, you’ll get the money up front. If they choose the payment plan, this will be paid out in installments over 6 months. Your first payment will come in 14 days after the sale and will be paid automatically via PayPal.

If you have additional questions, please reach out to: [email protected] with the subject: Question from An Affiliate

What to Say:

Tell people about your experience in the private practice and how The Start Your Private Practice System helped you along the way.

Tell them that the link goes to a free webinar so they can learn more about private practice in general and then about Jena’s Start Your Private Practice System is mentioned at the end of the presentation.

You need to disclose  that you’re using an affiliate link and that you will get a small commission if they decide to purchase through their link (at no extra cost to them!)

Suggested Places To Share Your Link

To Individual Friends:

Did one of your friends inquire about how you got your private practice off the ground? Tell them about your experience in the program and then share your affiliate link. Tell them that in-between enrollment periods, the only way to get in is by watching the free 60 minute training first to learn more about private practice in general and also to learn more about The Start Your Private Practice System before they join.

Instagram:

Do a post or IG story updating people on how your private practice is going. You can mention how what you’ve learned in the course has helped you at various stages of building your practice OR speak directly about your experience in the course and suggest that they DM you if they have questions. Then give them your affiliate link so they can watch the webinar to learn more.

Bonus: Tag @IndependentClinician so I can reshare it for additional exposure! (no promises, but I will try to do this!)

Write a Blog Post (and Promote it on Social):

One of the star Start students, Katie Brown, wrote a great blog post on what she learned in her first year of private practice. She inserted her affiliate link in the body of the article and then people will find this article in Google OR when she posts about it online.

Respond to Comments Online:

If people are talking about starting a private practice in FB groups, Reddit, Instagram, etc. you can suggest that they check out Jena’s free webinar on starting a private practice (then insert your affiliate link).

Email:

Have a group of friends from grad school or other SLPs that you’re friends with? You can send an email to everyone telling them about your experience in the course and if they are interested in learning more about the course or private practice in general, give them your affiliate link, which will take them to your webinar.

Graphics You Can Use:

🌟 Ninja Tip:

  • Use a link shortener like bit.ly or rebrand.ly to make your affiliate link look a little prettier (i.e. less like an affiliate link - like bit.ly/TamiRecommendsSYPP)

❌ Do Not:

  • Do not spam your link all over town. If I feel like you’re abusing the link, I will give you a warning but may have to remove you from the affiliate program.
  • Forget to tell people that you’re using an affiliate link and that you will get a small commission if they decide to purchase through their link (at no extra cost to them!)
